About
Tyler Lance Walker Gill is a country singer/songwriter from Hillview, KY, down in Bullitt County. Gill grew up spending most Saturday nights of his childhood in a country music jamboree in Mt. Washington, KY, where his mother and aunt sang country classics with the house band. Needless to say, Tyler he's never been a stranger to honky tonk music.
In late 2015, after years of playing in various cover bands, Gill tried his hand at writing his own songs. Since then, he got a band together and has played at a multitude of bars around Louisville, KY, where he currently lives. At only his 7th live performance, TLWG opened for Shovels & Rope at Iroquois Amphitheater, where he received a standing ovation at the end of his set.
Gill is currently in the post production phase of his first studio album (self-titled). The twelve song record, recorded at La La Land, features a number of the region's best musicians including Bonnie "Prince" Billy, Michael Cleveland, Aaron Biebelhauser, Todd Hildreth, John Clay, and the boys from Louisville's own Nellie Pearl.
