Musical direction by Michael Catron

Step back in time with A 1940s Radio Christmas Carol, a festive musical comedy that reimagines Dickens’ beloved holiday classic as a live radio broadcast on Christmas Eve, 1943. The Feddington Players are ready to present their own version of A Christmas Carol—but missed cues, noisy plumbing, blackouts, and backstage chaos quickly turn the broadcast into hilarious holiday mayhem.

Blending comedy, drama, nostalgia, and music, this heartwarming show captures the charm of old-time radio while adding a playful twist to a familiar Christmas story. As the performance begins to unravel, the company must improvise its way through unexpected mishaps, including a film noir-style ending filled with mystery, romance, and over-the-top surprises.

Featuring period songs, swing-style arrangements of Christmas favorites, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, A 1940s Radio Christmas Carol is a spirited holiday crowd-pleaser filled with warmth, music, and theatrical fun.

A charming crowd-pleaser!

— The Denver Post

The most charming, touching, and musically thrilling (some of the harmonies gave me chills!) take on the 'Radio Christmas Carol' genre I've seen – with no sacrifice in the quality of the comedy.

— Westside Theatre Review

Laughs and hearty applause from every age group in attendance... chaotic and hilarious.

— The Plain Dealer/Cleveland.com

A reading that transforms Charles Dickens's classic into a gumshoe mystery...far above the usual holiday offerings.
